Purpose of role:
Our HEAT platform captures, stores, analyses and presents data insights on trainee performance during simulation sessions. The HEAT platform is integrated with a variety of client simulations to enhance training outcomes.
This new role at VRAI will be a leading backend technical resource for HEAT development and engage with our customers for all HEAT integration requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
You will be joining the Dev team being responsible for backend development and maintenance of HEAT, as well as integration of HEAT with customer solutions.
Suitable candidates will be able to work with other technical team members, data analysts and advise product owners, support sales and BD.
You should be able to:
● Azure development of cloud-based infrastructures
● Develop and manage efficient and effective databases
● Write effective APIs for a range of client requirements
● Support on test software to ensure efficiency
● Assist with Troubleshoot, debug support and upgrade software deployments
● Create or adopt best in class security and data protection settings
● Write accessible, comprehensive technical documentation and user guides
● Work with data scientists and analysts to constantly improve software and services
Requirements/Qualifications to the role:
● 3+ years experience as a Microsoft Azure developer
● Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture including Microservices and GraphQL
● Knowledge of other back-end languages (e.g. C#, Python)
● Familiarity with both relational and nonrelational databases (e.g. My SQL, CosmosDB, SQL Server ), web servers (e.g. Apache, IIS)
● Excellent communication and team working
● Degree in Computer Science or relevant field

● Customer facing professional experience
● Open source examples
● Knowledge on JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, Node.js)
● Release Management, Data Migration, ELT/ETL Design patterns with Cloud Services
● Knowledge and experience with systems and infrastructure for cloud agnostic services

● C# API REST development
● CI/CD
● Agile ways of working and experience of e.g. Atlassian tools, (Scrum / Kanban) and Git-flow workflows
