Data is The Untapped Resource in Simulation Training
November 27, 2023World Leader in Live, Virtual & Constructive Training Announces Collaboration with Innovative Simulation Data Company
November 29, 2023VRAI & Cervus have announced that they are becoming innovation partners to help add value for their customers
VRAI & Cervus, two of the best in class simulation data and analytics SMEs in Europe, have announced a collaboration to help accelerate the transformation of training by leveraging simulation data.
Both companies provide simulation data products to help their customers, predominantly in the aerospace and defence markets, to help improve training outcomes. VRAI are focussed on transforming simulation data into actionable insights by providing a simulation data product called HEAT that enables simulation users to capture, store, analyse and present sim data for individuals and teams, while Cervus are are focused on broader collective training data sources, across Live, Virtual and Constructive systems.
Speaking on the announcement, Pat O’Connor, VRAI Managing Director said:
“We believe data is the untapped resource in simulation training, and that it can transform how training is delivered. In order to harness the power of data & AI in simulation training, the first step is to start capturing data. We are delighted to announce we will be working closer with the team at Cervus to help accelerate this transformational technology, they are a great company who share our vision and values.”
Cervus CEO Al Roan commented on the announcement saying: “Our ability to innovate is enhanced by the Cervus ethos but also by those ‘like minded souls’ we choose to partner with. Partnerships like this are thought through and deliberate. We understand that we cannot deliver a complete solution to our customers in isolation. We therefore seek innovative and technically exquisite partners to help us. Our partnership with VRAI is a ‘value add’ to our customers and ensure 1+1=3.”
Cervus & VRAI are already teamed up are part of the Omnia consortium bidding on the Army Collective Training Service (ACTS) in the UK, where Cervus are part of the core team bidding for the contract along with Capita, Raytheon & Rheinmetall, while VRAI are part of the data exploitation community of interest in Omnia.
“Simulation provides a rich source of data and it is growing in importance and value. That is why this partnership between Cervus and VRAI, two leading SMEs in this space, is fantastic news for Omnia Training and our use of simulation data” said Stephen Hart, Head of Training Transformation Services at Raytheon UK. “The innovation and creativity within both companies complements our own vision, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration with both as pivotal members of the Omnia Training team”.
Both companies are working with some of the leading simulation providers in the market such as VRAI with BAE Systems, Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace and the European Defence Fund Consortium FEDERATES led by Rheinmetall, Thales, Leonardo & Indra, while Cervus are working directly to the UK MoD and European government customers.
This partnership marks the beginning of a closer collaboration between both companies to help develop complete simulation solutions for their customers’ problems.
For more information on how simulation data can transform your training, both companies will be exhibiting at the upcoming I/ITSEC Conference in Orlando Florida from 27 No to 01 Dec. VRAI on on booth 772, & Cervus on booths #2848 and #1420.
